Starting June 15, 2025, Deutsche Bahn will no longer offer family reservations. Previously, it was possible to book a family reservation for €10.40 in 2nd class or €13 in 1st class, which covered up to 5 people. In the future, a separate reservation must be purchased for each adult and child. 1 Additionally, the prices for seat reservations will increase: 1st class: €6.90 (previously €6.50) 2nd class: €5.90 (previously €5.50) Information about reservations on Bahn.de can be found here.

Starting May 1, 2025, Eurostar will increase prices on all FIP tickets by €5 or £5. The price increase applies to all FIP Global Fares for Eurostar Blue and Eurostar Red (Thalys) in all classes. The Finnish State Railways VR has announced its withdrawal from the FIP program by the end of 2025. The withdrawal was originally planned for 2024 but was postponed by one year. As of 01.01.2026, FIP travel discounts for VR will no longer be available. It is not yet known whether the withdrawal will be postponed again. The reason for this could be VR’s withdrawal from the UIC (Union Internationale des Chemins de fer - International Union of Railways) to save membership fees. There have …
